We're Going to Make It!

ACTS: 27:25 ....Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.NKJV

Have you noticed that life's storms come to us all?  We're not immune.  The enemy wants to put pressure on to find out if we believe what we claim to believe.

In this story of Acts 27, everyone on the ship kept getting bad news.   Even the most positive were ready to give us.  Not Paul. God had already told him that he would be brought before kings to bear the name of Christ.  Years had passed & he hadn't done that yet.  So now, with salt water waves slapping him in the face, he smiles & says, "I'm not gonna die, I have a job to do in Rome.  I can't drown & neither can you. because I'm on this boat."

You & I have to stand on what God told us He would do.  There are times it looks like we're not going to make it.  Sometimes it's because of other's decisions, or our own mistakes.  You still have to stand up & say, "I believe God.  It's going to be just like He told me."

We have to resist thoughts.  It's part of the good fight of faith.  Refuse to fear or doubt.  Don't be a spiritual lazy bones.  We can't let our heads dominate us.  Follow your heart.  God hasn't give us a spirit of fear but one of power, love, & a sound mind.

It may look like you're not going to come out this time, but with God, no one, or nothing, can stop you.  Say, "I will finish my course & do what He told me I could do.  It's what I was born to do.  I can't die like this."

What's God told you?  You can't quit now.  Don't be weary.  You'll get tempted but He hasn't brought you this far to drop you now.

Patience means perseverance, persistence, not giving up or quitting.  It's not about how well you start, but how you end.  Believing God for awhile won't cut it.  In the end, that's the same as not believing Him at all.  The Bible say that it is he who endures to the end shall be saved.  He who crosses the finish line.

I've made up my mind that I'm going through.  How about you?  If I fall, He'll pick me up.  By His grace and help I will run my whole race, finish my course, & hear, "well done".
