My heart and prayers go out to the family, congregation, and friends of  Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife.   Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”  It is so painful for those left behind, when someone we love departs, espescially when that departure was unexpected and somewhat early.  The greater that life was lived and the more of an impact the person has made, the greater the whole that is left.  Dr. Munroe has left a large hole in the hearts of people.  However, what a graduation party he must be having.  1 Thes 4:13-14 says,  “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”  Thank God for the great comfort of The Holy Spirit.  Of course people will grieve at missing them here, in the flesh, being able to listen to them, touch them, and converse with them.  However, it is not the same grief people have, who do not have the assurance of being with them troughout all of eternity.  

I, too was a person and minister greatly impacted by his ministry.  I have taken several of his teachings and used them in women’s conferences.  He was excellent in teaching on the kingdom of God, a spirit of excellence, the potential of every Christian, etc.  My husband has taught many of his kingdom principles over the years.  I have ministered in one of his affiliate churches in the Bahamas.  I helped, financially to  build a church there.  Many years later, at a meeting in south Africa with Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne, a businessman approached me.  He said that he was a close associate of Dr. Munroe, and that he would like to meet me.  Unfortunately, it never happened.  I never pushed it and just thought we would run into each other someday.  I guess it will happen on the other side.  He is leaving behind a legacy of power-packed truths and hope for many.  He taught us all that we have more than enough to overcome any situation and the potential to be all that God has called us to be.  He also taught us that as God reigns in the heavenlies, we are to reign down here, on earth.  What we bind (in accordance with His Word), God backs up and binds in heaven.  What we loose, He looses, up there.  Life is not to rule and reign over us, but we, over it.  We have been seated in heavenly places.  All things have been put under our feet.  The enemy has been defeated.  We have the name of Jesus, the Word of God, the weapons of our warfare, the blood of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit.  We have no excuse to not walk in all that God has provided.  

Everything is about the kingdom of God.  We have to quit thinking democracy when it comes to God.  He has made us royalty.  A king rules by his words.  “Let it be.  I declare.”  It’s so important that we learn to speak, walk, and think like a king, not a beggar.  I believe that I  know what Dr. Munroe would hope for the body of Christ.  He would want us to become the glorious church that we are meant to be.  He would want us to get healed up, quit making excuses for failure, and get up and have what we are told we have.  The children of Israel would not take the promised land, even though it had been given to them.  They wanted, (as Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin would say), “it to fall on them, like ripe cherries off a tree.”  They didn’t want to have to go possess the land.  They thought the giants would come and lay down their weapons and say, “please enjoy the land.  We are leaving.”  They thought the walled cities would fall down on their own accord. The interesting thing is, when they obeyed God, they had miracles like walls falling down.  God has given us the land and the kingdom, but we have to take it and occupy.  Dr. Munroe would like to see the body of Christ do just that.  However, there is one greater that we should be doing it for.  It is the one who gave His life for us, bought us back, and redeemed us, so that we could rule and reign in life.  Let’s take the land for Him.  Let’s rule and reign as He said that we could and should.  We are coming back with Him to rule and reign.  This is supposed to be practice now.  Let’s stand up, body of Christ.  When one leaves, the others should rally even more to fill in the gap.  We are a body, a bride, a kingdom, and an army.  When a general graduates, we continue on until the job is finished.  Let’s occupy.  We are not defeated.  The Captain of the Hosts is still marching on.
