He's God Almighty

All I can think of today, is how incredibly good our God is, and how simple faith is. Faith is simply believing His Word, believing everything that He says. He is everything that He says He is, with no exceptions or extenuating circumstances. There is no reason to add or subtract from that, no reason to doubt Him, or to make excuses for living below His truth and will for our lives. If He said it, we can go to the bank on it. You have no problem or difficulty today that is outside of His reach and His help. There is no reason to consider plan B. There is no plan B. There is only I Am, that I Am!

Our God is awesome, incredible, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is faithful, righteous, and holy.  He has never lost a battle and never will. He is outside of the time-line, He was, and is, and is to come. He is the authorand finisher of everything. He used only His finger to make the stars. He flung the heavens with His mighty right hand. He raised the dead, walked on water, calmed the wind, rebuked storms, turned water into wine, opened the eyes of the blind, and cast out devils. Nothing is impossible with Him. He told us that if we believe, nothing is impossible for us.

The heavens declare the glory of God. Everything has been made for His glory; people, wildlife, angels, stars, and planets. We have thousands of galaxies and scientists are still discovering them. The Bible tells us the He counts the number of the stars by name. Wow! How many are there? How marvelous to know that He has a name for each one. Yet, He is personal enough to also count every hair on your head and be concerned when it drops to the ground. Have we forgotten who we are serving? Again, nothing is impossible to Him.

In Matt. 17, when the father of the boy with devils tried to say, “Lord If you can do anything”, Jesus put the responsibility back on him.  Jesus said, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”   We always have a choice about choosing faith or fear.  Remember when the disciples were on the boat with Jesus?  They were fearful and He was asleep in the back of the boat.  They chose fear.  Then, they even doubted that He cared for them. They chose wrong.  He asked how it was that they had no faith.

Everyday is a new day with new choices. We decide; am I believing what God says or what the world says, what God says or the symptoms in my body, what God says or what this bad report says. The devil cannot put fear in you. You yield to it by what you think on, listen to, and watch with your eyes. The Bible says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”. The phrase “Let not” means, do not let it be afraid. If you resist the enemy, he will flee from you.

Remember after Jesus was raised from the dead, John believed and Thomas chose doubt.  Neither one had proof.  It’s a choice.  Thomas was reprimanded for his choice.  He was reproved for hardness of heart.  Not believing will harden your heart.  We want to be quick to believe.  The enemy will try to use people close to you, to sway you from believing God.  Hold true to His Word.

Remember the difference between Mary’s response to the word that she was going to become pregnant, as opposed to Zachariah’s response from the angel about he and Elizabeth’s pregnancy? Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” She didn’t understand but chose simple faith. No wonder God chose her. When she believed that word from heaven, it become flesh. The word is still being made flesh when we choose to believe. It may be a word of healing, financial provision, or fulfilling your call and destiny, but we have to do same thing.

On the other hand, Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.” He’s choosing to question & not to believe.  As a result, he was not able to speak until after his son was born. He could’ve chosen to believe, like Mary, but didn’t. When people say I can’t believe that, they are not telling the truth. That is equal to a hard heart. Mary had a tender heart, which is one of our conditions for obtaining miracles. We must be quick to believe the Lord. We need to have child-like faith. The Israelites could not enter into the promised land because of unbelief. That word means unpersuadable. It wasn’t that they didn’t know there was a promised land, or even know that God had the power to get them in, but they chose not to believe. They chose stubbornness, being hard-hearted, and obstinate. They were slow to believe.

Faith and fear are both choices. Fear is why Peter didn’t complete his water walk. He started out fine, but put his eyes on the wind and waves. Something will always be there to distract us. We have to develop powers of focus and concentration. Symptoms, pain, and lack will always try to distract us. We have to do what Abraham did, and ignore our symptoms. He didn’t consider his age. We are to call the things that are not, as thought they are.

Our God is still on the throne. He sits in the heaven and laughs at his enemies and ours. The thing that front of you that looks so large, is so small from where He is. The Bible tells us that we are seated together with Him in heavenly places and the devil is under our feet. So, we should be laughing too. When He rests in the back of the boat, so can we.

He’s a big God. Is anything too hard for Him? Absolutely not. So, choose faith and life today.  I know Jesus, and everything’s gonna be alright.
